Witch Water

The undine was there before the village. When the area was settled she quickly took a fancy to the
local wise women. Generation after generation came to her for  counsel and, after a while, worship. That all changed when the inquisition came and the drownings started. Witch after witch was drowned in the lake where she lived. Powerless to do anything against the priests of the new religion, she watched and mourned.

This all changed when they drowned Liza, a fourteen year old girl who was destined to be the next high priestess. Reaching out and expending all her powers, something responded to her pleas. Something dark.

The two merged and the result promptly went insane. After killing everybody in attendance she withdrew into the lake. Watching and waiting.

Current sketch
The creature is still quite insane and hates all living things. However, due to her limited action radius the damage is quite contained. Anything approaching the water within three meters promptly gets drawn into the water and drowned, joining the skeletal remains of the witches below the water. The village has long been abandoned as the villagers considered the land to be cursed.

Her physical form is that of a beautiful young women. Her skin looks fluid somehow. When she uses her drowning attack she mirrors the victim's state: she looks more and more drowned as the victim dies.

Stats
AC: 13
Move: as human
HD: 3 (12 hp)
Attacks: special
ML: 10

Drowning: She can drown any creature coming near the lake. Any 0-level NPC drowns in 1D3 rounds, unless dragged from the lake's vicinity. Higher level characters get a save vs poison to avoid the effect.

Water attack: If a creature enters the water she can attack it for 1D4 (1D6 if the target is subemerged) damage by using the debris at the bottom of the lake.

If the party kills her she will reform after two days. The only way to permanently destroy her is by burying Liza's body. Her remains are currently laying at the bottom of the lake, and she will fight any would-be hero all the way.
